Q: What is one thing you miss about university?
A: This is difficult because there are quite a few things I miss about University.
Let’s start with the people. I think it just hit me that I won’t really be connected with so many individuals my age again to socialize with on a day-to-day basis whether it be my friends, classmates or even club-mates like UW EconSoc ;).
Q: Where did you go to university?
A: I went to Panthéon Sorbonne university as an undergraduate student and did my Masters and PhD at the university of Montreal. I also spent two years as a graduate student visiting UBC.
Q: What area of study in economics do you specialize in?
A: Labour Economics

A: I have completed graduate degrees in Economics from North South University Bangladesh), York University (Canada) and Oklahoma State University (USA).
Q: What is your current role and what does a typical day look like at your job?
A: I am a Research Associate at the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI). In one sentence, my job is to conduct research on a wide range of topics concerning the global economy. Day-to-day activities can vary extensively. I can be writing an op-ed one day, attending a conference the following day, and performing statistical modeling the rest of the week.
Q: What is one thing you miss about university?
A: There are many things I miss about university; the wealth of knowledge, being young and full of ideas, the all-nighters in the library, and the list goes on. But if I had to pick one, it would definitely be meeting peers from all around the world.
