George Liu, Vice President of Finance and Operations
“I am in third year Economics, Finance Specialization with an interest in Finance and Econometrics. My internship experiences have been in banking and I am looking to pursue a career in Capital Markets. I am responsible for the society’s finances and budgeting as well as event proposals and planning.”



Julie Nguyen, Vice President of Academic 
“I’m in my second year of Joint Honours Legal Studies and Sociology with a minor in economics. As the Vice President of the Economics Society, I look forward to hearing what ideas everyone has to expand our learning outside of the classroom! You can find me listening to Drake or drinking Starbucks, either way, I’m always open to a conversation.”



Prabhjot Sangha, Vice President of Academic
“I am in my third year in Health Studies and Economics with a strong interest in healthcare economics and entrepreneurship. The UW Economics has an exciting term planned ahead with a large variety of educational, professional and social events. I am looking most forward to our general meetings, where I hope to get a chance to meet new members and chat!”



Timisha Romain, VP Marketing      I’m Timisha,  a third year student specializing in Economics. I’m currently serving as UW Econ Soc’s VP Marketing. Some of my include Health Economics and Public Policy. Looking forward to a fun econ filled term!


Saad Iqbal, Director of Finance and Operations 
“I am in my last semester of the Honours Economics program, looking to pursue a career in pharmacoeconomics or in finance. This is also my first semester with the Econ Society executive team, and I’m looking forward to the events the next few months. I’m also excited to be taking part in the Bank of Canada’s Governor’s Challenge this year.”


Stephen Chen, Director of Finance and Operations 
“Hi everyone! I will be the Finance Director for the Econ Society this term. I am in my 4A Honours Economics program with an interest in game theory. A fun fact about me would be my love for piggyback rides. Looking forward to meeting you all and bringing a bunch of informative and entertaining events over the course of the term.”
