July 28th, 2016 – Econ Soc Update

  1. Larry Smith will be the keynote speaker for eCON 2016.  Larry’s talk, titled: “Economist At Centre Stage: How To Get There and What To Do Then”, is a must attend for all aspiring economists.  Read all about Larry Smith in our speaker feature!

  2. The University of Waterloo Economics department is fielding a team for the Bank of Canada’s Governors challenge.  Interested students will take part in a quick interview with Dr. Jean-Paul Lam and then be enrolled in a special monetary policy course (0.5 credits) for Fall 2016.  The course is scheduled for MW from 1-2:20pm.  Please contact Dr. Lam directly (jplam@uwaterloo.ca).
